3. Protection

Definition

- The main circuit board shall contain the master circuit breaker rated 40 A associated with an RCD of 500 mA or 300 mA

- A RCD shall protect sub circuits.

- A light circuit shall be protected with a 10 A circuit breaker type C.

- A power circuit shall be protected with a 16 A circuit breaker type C.

- A doorbell circuit/control circuit shall be protected with a 6 A circuit breaker type C

- Each sub circuit shall be isolated. The use of double pole device is recommended.

- A proper cabinet shall be provided for the consumer unit and it shall have at least an IP 2X

- The earthing shall be distributed on every point (light or socket outlet) and connected to an earthing pit. A disconnector system shall be provided in order to isolate the earthing pit to realise it measurement.

- All metallic part shall be connected to the earthing wire. This includes metallic frame and metallic pipe (gaz, water...)
