Evolution of the current during the life time of a lamp
As every electrical equipment, characteristics of lamps are changing during their life. On of the consequences is the consumption of the current at the end of the life where the current may be up to two times the nominal current.
The shape of current is also important as it will define the type of protective devices.
The selection of protective devices and cable must be according to this characteristics (see Lighting circuits guide.pdf page 16-17)
