1.3.1. Definition of equipotential connection
An equipotential connection aims at connecting with the earth connector all the metal pipes (water, heating, etc.) and all the accessible conductive elements. It allows that no difference of potential can exist between those various equipment.
The metal ducts, flexible or stiff, and the metal sheaths of wire must not be used as protective conductors (but must be linked with EP). The continuity of the circuit of equipotential protection must be insured for the electric equipment mounted on covers, doors, shutting plates, etc. It will not be conducted by the closure systems, the support rails, etc. |  |
1.3.2. Realize an equipotential connection in an electricity cabinet
