2. Symbols used
There are plenty of symbols representing an electrical device. To be able to be read by every technician, symbols were standardized and an international standard created: The IEC IEC60617 – part 7. Local standards have been designed by following the IEC one. For India, in Electricity, the standards are: is.12032.1, is.12032.2, is.12032.3, is.12032.4, is.12032.6, is.12032.7, is.12032.8.
