ITB Student at CoE EARE for EnergyLab

The Centre of Excellence for Electricity, Automation and Renewable Energy continues to build partnerships with universities in Indonesia. After signing an agreement with Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) for future actions, we had the honour to meet with Ms. Sri Rijati Wardiani, Head of the French Department of Universitas Padjadjaran, on 18 October. During this meeting, we discussed possible collaborative actions such as internships at CoE EARE with the Kampus Merdeka programme. Kampus Merdeka is part of the Merdeka Belajar policy of the Kementerian Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan (Ministry of Education and Culture Republic of Indonesia), which offers students the opportunity to hone their skills according to their talents and interests by immersing themselves directly into the world of work to prepare for their future careers. Based on this discussion, we plan to sign an agreement to legalise our partnership. Again, the promise of a great collaboration!

Of course, one of the main objectives of the CoE is to increase the competence of students in SMK by training and equipping teachers. But it is also important for the CoE to - to listen to the expectations of the companies in terms of expected skills. - to propose internships to improve professionalization - to be interested in the employability of these students. - to take stock of current job offers. It is in this context that the Centre of Excellence for Electricity, Automation and Renewable Energy warmly welcomed Mr. Joko Sutopo, Director of the Schneider Electric Cikarang plant and his team, on Friday 4 November 2022. Following the Celebration of 125 equipped SMK, the Centre of Excellence for Electricity, Automation and Renewable Energy continues to conduct training for 15 vocational high school (SMK) teachers in Electrical Installation.
