Visit from SMKN 1 Jakarta

The Centre of Excellence for Electricity, Automation and Renewable Energy was very delighted to have another opportunity to visit Schneider Electric Cikarang Factory with a delegation of 6 French experts from PlastiCampus Plasticampus Campus des Métiers et des Qualifications & Campus des métiers et des qualifications Microtechniques et Systèmes Intelligents and also with our students internships. The objective of the visit was to discuss about the skills and competency needed in the company, the virtual and augmented reality solutions and also the cooperation between private and sector public. In this occasion, our students internship had the opportunity to present a milestone of their work on the digitalization of training with XR OA software, named EnergyLab this time. On August, Schneider Electric Cikarang Plant held a workshop on “Curriculum Adaptation and Industrial Work Culture for Student Competency Improvement” at SMKN 1 Cikarang Selatan, one of CoE’s SMK in automation field. This workshop aims to harmonize approaches to work-based learning in the vocational school. Through this workshop, the students will be able to know the work environnement and some skills needed in industry. This type of initiative is highly complementary to our CoE EARE training initiatives. We are pleased to announce that a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between Schneider Electric Cikarang Plant and one of CoE’s SMKs located in Jawa Tengah, SMKN 2 Kebumen. The MoU will strengthen collaboration between industry and vocational school in the employment and improving soft & hard skills. This collaboration will provide students and teachers from SMKN 2 Kebumen with job opportunities, soft skills training through workshop provided by experts from SE, student internship that will be offered starting the August.
