On August, Schneider Electric Cikarang Plant held a workshop on “Curriculum Adaptation and Industrial Work Culture for Student Competency Improvement” at SMKN 1 Cikarang Selatan, one of CoE’s SMK in automation field. This workshop aims to harmonize approaches to work-based learning in the vocational school. Through this workshop, the students will be able to know the work environnement and some skills needed in industry. This type of initiative is highly complementary to our CoE EARE training initiatives. The Centre of Excellence for Electricity, Automation and Renewable Energy has started the training of 8 teachers from 8 vocational high schools (SMK) in Industrial Automation. The trainees have participated in this training for about 6 weeks training course from August to September 2022. We are pleased to welcome Analeila Devira Lorenzi, a new assistant at CoE EARE. In her second week on the job, she did a translation during the presentation process. On the other hand, the Co-Director Mr. Manuel AZIBI presented the CoE EARE project and the French education system. He also demonstrated the projects with Virtual Reality for learning. These learning innovations, which aim to help SMK teachers to use the Schneider Electric equipment received in their schools, awakening a lot of interest from the trainees.

This week, we had the honour of hosting and meeting members of Schneider Electric Indonesia - Cikarang Plant at our office located at BBPPMPV BMTI Kemdikbud. The objectives of this visit were : - to continue the discussion on how to harmonise industry needs and skills in vocational schools. - to work on joint training courses that could support new recruits. - to offer internships with industrial subjects to higher education establishments.
