SMKN 1 Tana Toraja and SMKN 2 Komodo have become RCoE

It was an honor for Centre of Excellence for Electricity, Automation and Renewable Energy received a visit from students from SMKN 1 Banyuasin III Palembang, South Sumatra at our office located in BBPPMPV BMTI Kemdikbud, Thursday (15/09/2022). The visit was received by Mr. Tubagus Kurniawan as the Head of the Electrical Department and the team from CoE EARE. In this occasion, as usual we presented our facilites and laboratories in order to show and explain the utility of our equipment. The presentation was interesting and the students actively asked and listened to explanations about the equipment. For this visit, the students accompanied by their teachers with a purpose of visit was to seek a new insight and motivate their students to be able to obtain information about electricity, automation and renewable energy. Through this visit, we hoped that the students can pursue their education and career in this field!

On August, Schneider Electric Cikarang Plant held a workshop on “Curriculum Adaptation and Industrial Work Culture for Student Competency Improvement” at SMKN 1 Cikarang Selatan, one of CoE’s SMK in automation field. This workshop aims to harmonize approaches to work-based learning in the vocational school. Through this workshop, the students will be able to know the work environnement and some skills needed in industry. This type of initiative is highly complementary to our CoE EARE training initiatives. Centre of Excellence for Electricity, Automation and Renewable Energy has the pleasure to announce that we welcome two new interns from the French Literature Department of Universitas Padjadjaran as the two parties developed an alliance through this internship program. As a result to this partnership, we provide an offer for French Literature students from Unpad to work in a professional environment where they could perform their French language skill in supporting CoE EARE to achieve our goals and participating in amelioration of vocational students skill regarding electrical engineering. From September to December 2023, the two mentioned interns, Theresia Melanie and Gregorius Dhanu Dewa Wiceca Dhanu will be responsible for learning modules translations from French into Bahasa Indonesia which are prepared by French experts from Schneider for SMK’ teachers and our numerous partners. It is to be hoped that CoE will not only appear in assisting vocational schools, but also all the related universities under Kemendikbud Indonesia.
