Visit from SMKN 1 Banyuasin III, Palembang

After spending the first week with Campus des métiers et des qualifications PlastiCampus, we had an opportunity to spend another week with Campus des métiers et des qualifications Microtechniques et Systèmes Intelligents On this occasion, we visited several vocational schools and French industries in order to exchange with them regarding the formation proposed, practical activity, teaching method and also study & work manner. The CoE project has already equipped 125 SMK across Indonesia. Some of these SMK have the possibility to become Regional Center of Excellence and disseminate their new skills and share their equipment with neighboring SMK. This is the case of SMKN 1 Tana Toraja and SMKN 2 Komodo who became RCoE after a one-week on-site training. We would like to thank our master trainer, Pak Tubagus Kurniawan, who conducted the training in these 2 SMK. The teachers were trained in the use of the equipment received and we hope that the trained teachers will be able to make an impact on the surrounding schools.

The Centre of Excellence for Electricity, Automation and Renewable Energy continues to build partnerships with universities in Indonesia. After signing an agreement with Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) for future actions, we had the honour to meet with Ms. Sri Rijati Wardiani, Head of the French Department of Universitas Padjadjaran, on 18 October. During this meeting, we discussed possible collaborative actions such as internships at CoE EARE with the Kampus Merdeka programme. Kampus Merdeka is part of the Merdeka Belajar policy of the Kementerian Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan (Ministry of Education and Culture Republic of Indonesia), which offers students the opportunity to hone their skills according to their talents and interests by immersing themselves directly into the world of work to prepare for their future careers. Based on this discussion, we plan to sign an agreement to legalise our partnership. Again, the promise of a great collaboration!
