The Centre of Excellence for Electricity, Automation and Renewable Energy is pleased to welcome Michael Suhendra, an Indonesian engineering student from the Institut Teknologi Bandung, for a 6-month internship from February to August 2023. As part of this internship programme, he will work on the Energy Lab project. This project is a continuation of a previous project called XR Operator Advisor project which allows us to manipulate Schneider Electric equipment with augmented reality technology. The idea of the project is to provide a virtual reality assembly guide for newly employed operators in the Schneider Electric plant in Cikarang. As part of this project, we had the opportunity to visit the Schneider Electric plant in Cikarang again, in order to establish the precise objectives of the study. We would like to take this opportunity to thank Mr. Joko Sutopo and his team for the warm welcome they have always given us and we look forward to working with them again.
The Centre of Excellence for Electricity, Automation and Renewable Energy received 19 vocational high school (SMK) technicians in Electrical Installation and Industrial Automation. The trainees will follow 2 weeks training course from January to February 2023 at our office located in BBPPMPV BMTI Kemdikbud. Our Co-Director and Technical Expert of France Éducation international, Ministère de l'Éducation nationale et de la Jeunesse, Mr. Manuel AZIBI, presented the CoE EARE project and the French education system. He also demonstrated the SENAR project with Virtual Reality for learning. These learning innovations, which aim to help SMK teachers to use the Schneider Electric equipment received in their schools, awakening a lot of interest from the trainees. Currently, we are conducting trials in several vocational high schools (SMK) to get feedback on this application in education.
Our co-director and technical expert from France Éducation international, Ministère de l'Éducation nationale et de la Jeunesse, Mr. Manuel AZIBI, had the opportunity to visit one of the schools renovated by HP Education. The objective of this visit is to continue our cooperation between CoE EARE, HP Education and SEI, for the equipment of a new laboratory. On this occasion, we were able to observe a primary school class with students in full activity and to get an idea of the materials that could be used in our laboratory. We would like to thank Aswita W. Saragih Florence Lim Lai Alvin Reza Keany Edessias and all the members of Baru State Elementary School 1 for this wonderful visit.
