"Link and Match" Vocational Education between Vocational Schools and Industry Exceeds Target

The launch of the tenth link and match vocational education program in the West Java region this year involved 2,604 SMKs and 885 industries. This has exceeded the target made by the Ministry of Industry, involved 2,600 SMKs and 750 industries. The Minister of Industry, Airlangga Hartarto, gave the highest appreciation to all SMK and industry parties who were enthusiastically involved in the strategic program. This was stated at PT. Indofood Barokah Makmur Award, Sukabumi, Monday (18/3).

At this launch, there was the signing of 631 cooperation agreements, among 128 industries with 451 SMKs. The Minister of Industry has held two launches of vocational education in West Java because this region has great potential in the development of the manufacturing industry sector.

In this series of activities, 28 companies donated machinery and equipment to 208 SMKs for practical purposes. One of them is from PT. Schneider Electric Indonesia which helped worth 300,000 Euros for the development of the Center of Excellence in the fields of electricity, industrial automation, and renewable energy for 10 Vocational Schools, including the Cimahi and Jayapura regions.

Official Visit from French Delegations of CMQ Réunion Island and Academy of La Réunion to CoE EARE, SMKN 1 Cimahi and Schneider Electric Indonesia in the Light of Building Future Partnership

The Centre of Excellence for Electricity, Automation and Renewable Energy & BBPPMPV BMTI Kemdikbud were delighted to receive 3 French experts from Académie de La Réunion, Campus des métiers et des qualifications civil engineering and eco-construction in a tropical environment and ESIROI [École Supérieure d'Ingénieurs Réunion Océan Indien]. The group was composed of Mr. Brault Laurent, DRAFPIC and Director of the GIP FCIP, Mr. Ranjit ZANEGUY, Head of the DRAFPIC’s partnerships and territory unit & Mr. Didier CALOGINE, Professor at ESIROI Engineering School whose arrival was welcomed by our co-director Mr. Manuel AZIBI, France Éducation international, Ministère de l'Éducation nationale et de la Jeunesse and Mr. Supriyono, the head of BMTI. The intention of the visit was to discuss further possibility of partnership in order to reinforce the cooperation between France-Indonesia and to seek the opportunity to collaborate in creating a good impact on society. In confirming their objective to join forces, the delegates along with COE team paid a visit to SMKN 1 Cimahi in the same day to see the school laboratories equipped by Schneider Electric, have an exchange with the students regarding their passion for further life, and also about the differences between vocational high school and industry in France & Indonesia. The visit was able to took place on account of Bapak Agus Priyatmono Nugroho, headmaster of SMKN 1 Cimahi, Ibu Verga Pandrianti & Bapak Adi Supriyadi, automation teachers at SMKN 1 Cimahi, asl well as all of SMKN 1 Cimahi team. The team then proceeded to make a stop at Schneider Electric Indonesia headquarter on October, 20 2023 in Jakarta. During the visit, our co-director Mr. Manuel Azibi had the honor to meet Mr. Hedi Santoso, Government Relations Director of Schneider Electric, Mrs. Aswita W. Saragih, Corporate Citizenship Specialist of SE & Mrs. Sri Rahayu Ningsih, Program Coordinator for Government Relations & Certification Administration of SE Indonesia. Moreover, the delegates were also given the opportunity to see Schneider Electric product and hashtag#Ecostruxure for supporting digital solutions. All of the representatives later had a fruitful discussion regarding the potential collaboration in order to actualize the mission of all organizations and improve the quality of education of vocational high schools in Indonesia. We truly appreciate Mr. Hedi Santoso, Mrs. Aswita W. Saragih & Mrs. Sri Rahayu Ningsih for the valuable discourse. We eagerly await our future collaboration!

Visit from New Caledonia Delegation

The Centre of Excellence for Electricity, Automation and Renewable Energy was delighted to welcome the delegation from New Caledonia, accompanied by Bernadette Thomas, Ministère de l'Éducation nationale et de la Jeunesse (MENJ) and Mathilde Croquet, Institut Français Indonesia (IFI). We were able to present the CoE's project on our premises hosted by BBPPMPV BMTI Kemdikbud, as well as to visit our valued partner, SMKN 1 Cimahi for a constructive exchange with the teaching teams and students. The delegation from New Caledonia, comprising : Didier VIN-DATICHE Vice-Rector Isabel ARELLANO, European and international relations and cooperating / Cultural and artistic action Sabrina ELMOUR, National Education inspector for Literature and English Frank COGNET, National Education Inspector for Technical Education Christophe BERGER, Headmaster from Auguste Escoffier High School Who carried out this exploratory mission to build educational cooperation in several vocational specialties. The possibilities are numerous, thanks to the geniality of the SMKN 1 Cimahi and Ibu Dewi (Dinas Pendidikan Provinsi Jawa Barat) teams. Visit to Schneider Electric Cikarang Plant

The Centre of Excellence for Electricity, Automation and Renewable Energy team and the BBPPMPV BMTI Kemdikbud team had the opportunity to visit the Schneider Electric Cikarang Plant on Thursday (24/11). We would like to thank Mr. Joko Sutopo, Director of Schneider Electric Cikarang Plant, who warmly received us and invited us to visit their plant. During this visit, we had the opportunity to learn about the latest system innovations, work culture, projects and new tools of Schneider Electric Cikarang as a smart factory. On this occasion, our co-director, Mr. Manuel AZIBI, had the opportunity to present our innovative projects in the field of educational learning, which aims to help students and teachers to use the Schneider Electric equipment provided in vocational schools. We hope to collaborate soon in operator training using digital training tools. It was a great honour and pleasure to discuss our common training issues. We are looking forward to our first work together.
