"Link and Match" Vocational Education between Vocational Schools and Industry Exceeds Target

Schneider Electric Cikarang Factory Plant conducted a recruitment test in some schools. The recruitment test process is conducted online and offline. On one hand, we held an offline recruitment test in SMKN 26 Jakarta, SMKM 1 Cikarang Selatan and SMKN 1 Adiwerna Tegal. On the other hand, we held an online recruitment test in SMKN 1 Cirebon. This recruitment test, which aim to help SMK students to obtain a job at Schneider Electric for the position of production operator and final quality control, awakening a lot of interest from the students.

Last week, team had a pleasure week on Indonesia Sustainable Energy Week (ISEW) 2023 at Kempinski Hotels Grand Ballroom, Jakarta, organized by GIZ Indonesia & ASEAN, CASE for Southeast Asia & Institute for Essential Services Reform (IESR). Through this event, we obtained aspirations from several stakeholders regarding the energy transition to achieve “Indonesia Emas 2045” (Golden Indonesia 2045). As a part of it, we need to be a game changer which aims to accelerate the energy transition. None of us, ever do great things alone. Therefore, we need to collaborate with other stakeholders to achieve the goals and ideals of Indonesia in the future. We would like to thank to Aswita W. Saragih for sharing our project. The Centre of Excellence for Electricity, Automation and Renewable Energy was delighted to welcome the delegation from New Caledonia, accompanied by Bernadette Thomas, Ministère de l'Éducation nationale et de la Jeunesse (MENJ) and Mathilde Croquet, Institut Français Indonesia (IFI). We were able to present the CoE's project on our premises hosted by BBPPMPV BMTI Kemdikbud, as well as to visit our valued partner, SMKN 1 Cimahi for a constructive exchange with the teaching teams and students. The delegation from New Caledonia, comprising : Didier VIN-DATICHE Vice-Rector Isabel ARELLANO, European and international relations and cooperating / Cultural and artistic action Sabrina ELMOUR, National Education inspector for Literature and English Frank COGNET, National Education Inspector for Technical Education Christophe BERGER, Headmaster from Auguste Escoffier High School Who carried out this exploratory mission to build educational cooperation in several vocational specialties. The possibilities are numerous, thanks to the geniality of the SMKN 1 Cimahi and Ibu Dewi (Dinas Pendidikan Provinsi Jawa Barat) teams.
