Following cross-visits between Politeknik Manufaktur Bandung Politeknik Manufaktur Negeri Bandung (PMS-ITB) and Centre of Excellence for Electricity, Automation and Renewable Energy, we are currently preparing a collaborative programme between CoE EARE and POLMAN Bandung and neighbouring SMKs. As part of this programme, we plan to : - sharing laboratories to increase practical activities, - working together on educational projects for students - offering internships, particularly in virtual and augmented reality.
The Centre of Excellence for Electricity, Automation and Renewable Energy has conduct the fifth SENAR application test of the digital innovation technology based on Augmented Reality at vocational schools, SMKN 34 Jakarta. We would like to thank the principal, the teachers, the staff and the students for the warmly welcomed and wonderful hospitality. We are delighted to welcome the Director general of vocational schools (SMK), Kementerian Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan (Ministry of Education and Culture Republic of Indonesia), Mr. Wardani Sugiyanto attend this event with Mr. Manuel AZIBI from France Éducation international, Ministère de l'Éducation nationale et de la Jeunesse. In this occasion, Mr. Wardani had the opportunity to try the SENAR application. Therefore, the business and work in the field of applications are needed. This application could bring students to learn how to utilize an equipment through simulator, especially in the electrical, automation and renewable energy field. On August, Schneider Electric Cikarang Plant held a workshop on “Curriculum Adaptation and Industrial Work Culture for Student Competency Improvement” at SMKN 1 Cikarang Selatan, one of CoE’s SMK in automation field. This workshop aims to harmonize approaches to work-based learning in the vocational school. Through this workshop, the students will be able to know the work environnement and some skills needed in industry. This type of initiative is highly complementary to our CoE EARE training initiatives.
