New Industrial Automation and Electrical Installation Training Batch for SMK Technicians

On Tuesday 16 May 2023, France and Indonesia held a successful Governing Board Meeting (GBM) at the Kementerian Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan (Ministry of Education and Culture Republic of Indonesia). The Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia (Kemendikbud), the Ministry of National Education and Youth, Schneider Electric Indonesia, the Schneider Electric Foundation and the French Embassy in Indonesia participated in this meeting.

On 8 November 2022, our co-director, Mr. Manuel AZIBI, had the honour to meet with Mr. Chris Avrain, Business Development Director of Industrial Supply of Schneider Electric East Asia Japan and Mrs. Aswita W. Saragih, Business Development of Education of Schneider Electric Indonesia at Schneider Electric Indonesia headquarters in Jakarta. The objective of the visit was to discuss the contribution of software in education, as well as the important role of simulation in learning. The work already done with SENAR and XR OA, paves the way to new challenges for the CoE, especially with industrial supervision and expert automation software from AVEVA. This month, we had an opportunity to conduct a second test on the digital learning innovation based on augmented reality application in another SMK in Bandung! In this activity, teachers actively participated and helped the students to understand more about learning in the fields of electricity, automation and renewable energy. During the experiment, we got a very positive response not only from the students but from the teachers as well. The teachers were amazed of this development of technology, especially in augmented reality. This learning innovation could enhance students’ motivation and facilitate students to practice learning wherever and whenever. Many thanks to all of teachers and students from SMK Negeri 4 Bandung for the management and the warm welcome. We are very delighted to work with Schneider Electric France and SENAR to drive innovation in education. We can’t wait to do another test at other schools!
