New Industrial Automation and Electrical Installation Training Batch for SMK Technicians

Last week, team had a pleasure week on Indonesia Sustainable Energy Week (ISEW) 2023 at Kempinski Hotels Grand Ballroom, Jakarta, organized by GIZ Indonesia & ASEAN, CASE for Southeast Asia & Institute for Essential Services Reform (IESR). Through this event, we obtained aspirations from several stakeholders regarding the energy transition to achieve “Indonesia Emas 2045” (Golden Indonesia 2045). As a part of it, we need to be a game changer which aims to accelerate the energy transition. None of us, ever do great things alone. Therefore, we need to collaborate with other stakeholders to achieve the goals and ideals of Indonesia in the future. We would like to thank to Aswita W. Saragih for sharing our project. On August, Schneider Electric Cikarang Plant held a workshop on “Curriculum Adaptation and Industrial Work Culture for Student Competency Improvement” at SMKN 1 Cikarang Selatan, one of CoE’s SMK in automation field. This workshop aims to harmonize approaches to work-based learning in the vocational school. Through this workshop, the students will be able to know the work environnement and some skills needed in industry. This type of initiative is highly complementary to our CoE EARE training initiatives. For almost 4 months, Cédric Hénon, French intern from ESIROI [École Supérieure d'Ingénieurs Réunion Océan Indien], has been interning at Centre of Excellence for Electricity, Automation and Renewable Energy. In the 4th week of August, he had the opportunity to do his internship at Schneider Electric Indonesia's Head Office in Jakarta for a week. On 25 August 2022, the intern made a final presentation of the XR Operator Advisor project. We would like to thank Roberto Rossi and Astri Ramayanti Dharmawan for attending the final presentation. The XR OA project was initiated by Marie Castella (Innovative & Inclusive Training Lead from Schneider Electric France), supervised by Manuel AZIBI (Co-Director of CoE EARE) and supported by Aswita W. Saragih (Education Business Development from Schneider Electric Indonesia). We hope that this innovative project, which aims to test the use of XR OA software in education, will help learners in the future. Cédric Hénon is almost at the end of his internship. We would like to thank him for his hard work and we wish him all the best for his next steps !
